    Rendez-vous in Anglet

Anglet, an atlantic station dedicated to outside leisure and relaxation.

Anglet is a green city with 40,000 inhabitants, based on the basque coast, between Biarritz and Bayonne, which offers 4.5 km of beaches famous for surfing and two forests great for walking, riding bicycles, jogging or trying one of our high rope courses. You can also ride on a skateboard, play a round of golf or try our traditional basque sports. It's a dynamic and sports oriented city.

After all these activities you can relax in a spa, or wander around markets and take part of the many animations organised during spring and summer.

There's a lot to discover among the traditional market, the organic market, flea markets, the basque pelote competition, the gourmet run, the street art festival, the skateboarding and BMX competitions, the international surf movies competition, beach rugby festival, sport clubs festival, sound, light and firework show, night surfing competition, fireworks and other street animations. You certainly won't get bored and you can come every year!

    Highlights

Seaside walks and the cliffs: Visitors will find many pleasant places to walk amidst the sand dunes and fir tree forests located throughout the lengthy 4.5km coast. The area between the rock of Cap Saint Martin and the jetty, which marks the entrance of the estuary, boasts at least nine different beaches. The 250-hectare forest, the largest in Europe, is considered to be the green lung of the Basque coast and it's also the ideal place for bike
riding or just taking a stroll through the tall pine trees, which were planted under Napoleon III in the middle of the XIX century.

‘Pignada’: This rich pine forest spread over 250-hectares, with walking and cycling paths, is less than 10 minutes from Biarritz and Bayonne. Sports fans will be able try out the treetop obstacle course here.
