La Conciergerie

The Conciergerie is part of the larger Hall of Justice (Palais de Justice) on the Ile de la Cité, and was formerly both a medieval palace and a prison. As a palace, it was home to Louis IX (Saint Louis) and Phillip IV (Phillip the Fair). As a prison, it housed political prisoners during the French Revolution, most notably, Marie Antoinette.
