    The largest  collection of Asian Art in Europe !

    Since it was created by Emile Guimet in 1889, the museum has never stopped acquiring new treasures for its collections. Time does not stand still at the Guimet Museum: its designed interior gives pride of place to contemporary work alongside artefacts representing five milleniums of Asian art.

    With its rich collections of Afghan buddhas, Indian fabrics, Angkor treasures, samurai armors, Chinese and Japanese artworks, the Guimet Museum offers a unique opportunity to explore the manifold cultures of Asia.

    How to get there

    •  By Metro : Iéna (closest stop) /Trocadéro/Boissière (lines 9  and 6)
    • By Bus: numbers 63, 82, 32, 22 and 30
    • By car: Underground parking is available on Avenue Kléber and Avenue George V (near the place de l’Alma).
    • By Taxi: there is a taxi stand on Avenue d’Iéna in front of the museum.
