Musée international de la Parfumerie à Grasse

    A fragrant day out.

The musée international de la Parfumerie (International Perfume Museum) in Grasse exists since 1989. It retraces the history of the art of making perfume, which is the pride of Grasse.
All the secrets of the creation and fabrication of a fragrance are revealed, from the processing of the raw materials (cold absorption, distillation, extraction) to the actual composition of the perfume.
The discussion also takes in soaps and cosmetics over a period spanning four millennia.
