    Rue de Rivoli

    History and shopping.

Rue de Rivoli is a major artery that links Place de la Concorde with Rue Saint-Antoine. It is one of the best-known streets in Paris and is home to luxury hotels, as well as the historic Samaritaine department store. On its north side, the street is lined with arcades that house businesses and art galleries.
On the south side, visitors will discover some of France’s most beautiful museums (the Louvre Museum, Museum of Decorative Arts, Advertising Museum, Museum of Fashion, etc.). Further up the street, the BHV (Bazar de l'Hôtel de Ville) department store is located across from the Renaissance-style Paris City Hall.
The entire area is filled with shops and boutiques: you won't be able to resist some window shopping at least...
