Christmas shows in Paris and Ile-de-France

    From November 16, 2012 to January 15, 2013

    Christmas lights

    Paris

In Paris, illuminations highlight its historical monuments, from the Arc de Triomphe to the Eiffel Tower, the Champs-Élysées and the Rue de Rivoli.

Start from the Arc de Triomphe and enjoy, when night falls, the unique illuminations on the trees, made of coloured LED rings, whose light is reflected in mirrored medallions. Walk down the most beautiful avenue in the world!

A few metres down, still on the Champs-Elysées, is the Place de la Concorde, where one of the most exciting rides of the season is located: the Big Wheel! Perched at over 65m high, it offers a unique view of the Tuileries and the Louvre! Besides the Big Wheel stands the largest Christmas tree in Europe: 35 meters high! From December 6 to January 3.

    Disneyland Paris

In Disneyland Paris, for its 20th anniversary, the celebrations will be even more spectacular. During the day, the snow falls repeatedly on the main thoroughfare, but as soon as the night falls, the lighting of the Christmas tree makes the children’s eyes light up before the magnificent Disney Dreams show starts, featuring all your favourite Disney characters and Santa Claus himself!

    Grand Palais in Paris

Why not dream of a pure white Christmas on the ice of the Grand Palais? From mid-December, the vast nave of the Grand Palais is transformed into a giant ice rink (the largest in France) and will host original events. Want to break the ice against breathtaking backdrops? Other ice rinks are also located on the forecourt of the Hôtel de ville, on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower and at the Trocadéro.

Châteaux de Breteuil and Vaux le Vicomte

Other magical places to discover: the chateaux of Breteuil and Vaux le Vicomte. Breteuil offers readings from Perrault's tales on Sundays in a setting created for the occasion, with visits to the illuminated gardens. Vaux le Vicomte is also adorned with thousands of lights and a wealth of sparkling decorations outside as well as in. It offers carousel rides on its forecourt and organizes a show about the Hunchback of Notre Dame in its outbuildings.
